State government of Uttar Pradesh is going to provide free electricity
connection for BPL families of Uttar Pradesh. Energy Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shreekant
Sharma announced this announcement on Monday. Under this scheme Government of Uttar
Pradesh will organize 1000 camps across the state. On every Thursday Yogi Govt.
will organize a camp at various locations of Uttar Pradesh.
Highlight Features of Free Electricity Connection Scheme Uttar Pradesh
- Govt. would provide free Bijli Connection to the BPL families while other families will get bijli connection on easy installments.
- Beneficiaries will also get a certificate on getting free connection.
- 7 Million 82 thousand Bijli connections has been given to the BPL families.
- These above connections has been given under Sugam Sanyojan Yojana.
- Besides, other families will get electricity connection at Rs. 80 in rural area & Rs. 115 in urban area.
- Villagers have to deposit only 80 rupees to get 1Kilo-Watt electricity connection while Urban citizen have to pay Rs. 155 for one Kilo-Watt Bijli connection.
Energy Minister informed, “These campaign will be very
helpful to bring brightness in houses of poor peoples. It will also helpful in
preventing electricity theft”. State govt. has decided to give electricity to
every village & every household.
