About UMANG App 

UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance)  to create e-Governance 'Mobile First' has been considered, it has been developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEETI) and National e-Governance Division (NAGD). .

This is a developed platform designed for the citizens of India, which gives them access to pan India e-Gooval services from government agencies on center, state, local bodies and app, web, SMS and IVR channels.

Key features of Umang App

- Integrated Platform: To bring better and easier services to the citizens, it brings all government departments and their services together on the same platform.
- Mobile First Strategy: It aligns all government services with the first mobile strategy to take advantage of mobile adoption trends.
- Integration with Digital India Services: It provides uninterrupted integration with other digital India services such as Aadhaar, Digitalalkar, and Pegov. A new such service will automatically be integrated with the platform
- Uniform experience: It is easily enabled for citizens to easily find, download, access and use all government services.
- Secure and Scalable: It supports service-based services and other authentication mechanisms. Sensitive profile data is saved in an encrypted format and no one can see this information.

Main servicesof Umang App

- CBSE: All CBSE students can trace the examination centers and can view their exam results by using this application in UMAG.
- NCERT: It enables students, teachers, parents and schools to view class-wise and subject-based content provided by NCERT in online and offline mode.
- AICTE: Citizens can search for AICTE approved institutions and courses.
- Soil Health Cards: SHC helps the farmers in the crop-wise recommendations of essential nutrients and fertilizers for individual farms to help in improving the yield of production. Citizens can view their Soil Health Cards by using this application in UMANG.
- PMKVY: The objective of the Prime Minister Skill Development Plan (PMKVY) is to enable a large number of Indian youth to achieve industry-related skill training, which will help them achieve better livelihood. Citizens can apply as a candidate under PMKVY and view their applications.
Mohawupa: Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation is the agency responsible for urban poverty, housing and employment programs. Citizens can apply for PMAY scheme using this application in UMANG.
Crop Insurance: Crop Insurance helps to protect crops against the loss of crops due to loss of revenue due to natural calamities, such as hail, dry, and fall in prices of flood or agricultural commodities.
- ORS: Online Registration System (ORS) combines various hospitals across the country to enable citizens to book / cancel appointments and look into laboratory and blood availability reports in UMAG.
