ASHA Kalyan Yojana Odisha to be Launch Soon

Chief Minister of Odisha, “Naveen Patnaik” announce "ASHA Kalyan Yojana" under National Health Mission. This scheme will give directly benefits to more than 47,000 ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers in across state.

Highlight Features of ASHA Kalyan Yojana 2017-18

• The ASHA workers will get Rs. 1000 monthly for ASHA workers.
• Rs. 10000 will be given directly into bank account of ASHA Workers when he completed 60 year of her age.
• In case of death, ASHA worker will receive Rs. 1 Lakh compensation as insurance.
• If any person affected with disability permanently, she will also get Rs. 1 Lakh amount.
• Under this project, Odisha govt. will spend 56 crore INR in favor of Asha Workers.

Eligibility Criteria for ASHA Kalyan Scheme

• To get benefits of this scheme, workers should be permanent resident certificate of Odisha.
• As well as, applicants should be 10^th pass from a recognized institute and board.
• Selection process will be made through various community groups like self-help groups, Anganwadi Institutions, the Block Nodal officer, District Nodal officer, the village Health Committee and the Gram Sabha.
• Under this scheme, ASHA will also get training to improve skills, knowledge and confidence.
