Namami Gange Jagriti Yatra Start by CM Yogi Adityanath in Lacknow

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath starts Namami Gange Jagriti Yatra today in Lacknow during a program. CM said the river of Ganga is Recognition of the oldest culture. State government of Central government will work together to save Ganga river.

Namami Gange Yatra 


CM has also informed about Namami Gange Yatra. Project started in 2014 for that a provision was placed to spend Rs. 20 thousand crore. As well as, a campaign has been also started from 5 July 2017 under which more than 13 million plants were planted.

What type of Plants were Planted


  • Paakad
  • Mango
  • Banyan
  • Neem
  • Peepal
  • Ashok


He also informed, our government have also done a great job 1627 gram panchayats to free from open defection. Not enough state government is making serious efforts to stop dirty flowed through the various tanneries, dirty nullahs and sewers.

In addition he informed, our government will take strict steps to cleanness for Ganga & other rivers. This work will be completed through help of central government.
